A small group of mercenaries...well, a small group fights against a group of aliens who have taken over a small town. They found out that the aliens and their leader, Lord Crumb, are collecting humans for their deli back on their home planet. And...they need to stop them. As well as save a government (B.R.E.A.D.) agent from being eaten. Will they? With a psycho half-dead Derek, the uncanny ability to predict where bullets will strike, and a sheep-tracking rocket launcher, how can they lose?
Derek - Peter Jackson
Barry - Pete O'Herne
Ozzy - Terry Potter
Frank - Mike Minett
Giles - Craig Smith
Lord Crumb - Doug Wren
Robert - Peter Jackson
Director - Peter Jackson
Written by - Peter Jackson, Ken Hammon & Tony Hiles
To me, most Peter Jackson movies (well, of course excluding the Lord of the Rings trilogy) seem to be a display of his extremely wonderful gore effects. There is absolutely never any story at all, the characters usually paper-thin; but if you're looking for strange situations, crazy humor, and gore gore gore, this is it!
The character of Derek is a little on the complete and udder hardcore side. Falling off a cliff, dying, then stuffing his brains back through his new trap-door and continuing the fight, seems a little obsessive-compulsive at times, but his resolve to rid the world (and universe) of the evil aliens is appreciated. Speaking of Derek, he is played by Jackson himself, along with one of the aliens, as well as taking on the role of director, sfx, and co-writer!
Overall, if you can stomach buckets of blood (and vomit), and require no story, but lots of laughs, then check it out.

Ahhh yes, one of Mr. Jackson's highlights of his career. This was one of his films I happend to see bunches of years ago back on IFC. However, Fox decided to buy it and throw it on here, needless to say I had no qualms with that considering this movie kicked. No real plot or story build-up *but is it really needed?!*, bukkets'o'violence, random-ass bazooka shots and explosions (especially for that poor sheep), and a most wonderful *sarcasm* sound-track to match. Can't really go wrong here. With the exception of Dead-Alive, Jackson proves his genius with really cool SFX and slapstick acting. If you're curious to see what Mr. Jackson was doin' before the Lord of the Rings, peep this and be flabber-gasted. *Harrgh mateys!**smaking and shaking head* Just see the damn movie!

This one is full of "Evelevator music for headbangers." Pretty decent soundtrack which they probably spent more than 10 seconds on. There is a story involved in this one, shallow at best. Aliens come to earth, eat earthlings, want to leave earth, earthlings say no. There is an amazing amount of gore in this movie, including spoon feeding from a skull (yummy). Acting spared no expense with Peter Jackson himself acting as Derek. The costume designs for the aliens looked like a bunch of modified Richard Nixon masks. Overall this movie is packed with action, gore, and complete randomness that kept me happy and smilin' the whoooooole time. I definitly recommend this as one of my top movies.
