It was cool to see Data's dad from Goonies got a new job as a detective, but other than that there wasn't much going on in this movie.
The premise could've been interesting, but what this movie ended up being is a stretched out CSI/Scooby-Doo episode. On top of that, there's no resolution! All that hunting around and half the movie is left in limbo because there's a big shoot-out that goes nowhere. Two completely random characters (one being Fred Ward from Tremors) end up being part of the mystery and that's the big finale, everyone just kind of walks away.
I did like how the big tough talking detective would vomit everytime he sees a dead body. I also loved the "I'm drinking a Coke!!!" scene, they sure as hell made sure that damn can was in frame every chance they got. Acting wise I can't complain too much - we see the two main characters for most of the film and they do an alright job, considering the awful script.
Can't really recommend, just a dull, heartless movie...YOU GET IT IT'S FUNNY CAUSE IT'S LIKE THE MOVIE
