Bear with us here...Mark seems to be a man who can't keep his woman, Anna, in check. Poor soul is bested by some fruitcake named Heinrich. So anywho yeah she cheats on him and he wants to keep here because of their child, yadda yadda. Yet what Mark and Heinrich don't know is that there is another "person" in cahoots with Anna. From there everyone goes crazy, cars explode, some kid drowns himself in a bathtub, and the war of the worlds breakout.
If you want anything beyond that you're asking too much.
Anna/Helen - Isabelle Adjani

This movie is very disturbing that's fa damn sho' and don't try to understand it either. Doing so means you will be required to watch this movie at least 363445 times to get what the freakin' hell is going on.
I didn't think it would get any more disfunction than some of the other jive on this site. Apprarently the director based this on his own "rocky" marriage breakup.*Ha!* There's no way in hell it was like this, and if it was, well, er...S-So?
I can't comment on the movie because, again, I don't know what the hell was going on! Alls I know is that er'body is nucking futz and then the film jumps off of the cliff entirely and ends with some extreme paintball, random-ass explosions, and manniquin flying all leading to the "War of the Worlds"?! Hmmm, all of this from infidelity?

Man, this one was strange.
I have to say, I liked it. I was so utterly confused the entire time, but that's not necessarily a bad thing in my book.
From what I understand, the movie is about the director's experience with divorce and his awful treatment by his home country of Poland when it came to censoring his movies. Damn.
Strange creatures, subway hall abortions, multiple personalities that begat themselves, Heinrich, and the apocalypse...this movie is just out there. It seriously belongs in the category with David Lynch subtitled "Pardon?" Don't misread that for disdain; I enjoy figuring out the symbolism and imagery in movies like this, but the average movie-goer is just going to be fucking confused. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and plan on popping it in soon to revisit the crazy visuals and, actually, impressive acting, especially by Sam Neill...I never knew he could act some damn crazy!
If you can stand movies that don't exactly have a central plot and rely more on heavy symbols and subtext to convey emotion, I say grab it. It's definitely an experience!
