Damn.
About halfway into the movie, I watched a werewolf drive a car straight into a bunch of barrels and explode. I sincerely thought I had lost my mind.
Martin Sheen's brother and a midget werewolf? I really didn't know how it got any better until I saw the aforementioned scene. It really has to be seen to be believed.
Werewolf movies have a history of being really bad, and this one kind of sums it up. Silly effects, terrible acting; plus, the "music" is some atonal keyboard crap with, no shit, constant wolf-howls over it. For the entire movie, sans like 15 minutes or so. They were going for "atmosphere" (at least I think) and got "complete idiotic bullshit."
However, the movie is fun to laugh at, so it's good at least for a rental. Just watch out for quite a few dry spots (i.e. the first 30 minutes or so) and keep the volume low to avoid that goddamn howly music crap.
Also, Joe Estevez is a terrible actor! I think I need to search out some more of his stuff!
