Kind of a crappy week, both for movies and for simply existing. If any of you Atlanta based CMN fan club members know of any good work a poor Communications degree holding Fox can jump into, hit me up with a quickness!

Formula for instant fail - Alba + Korean remake = The Eye. I'll be seeing this tonight so weep for me.

Of course Valentine's Day (VD are the initials for a reason) is coming up, so all the sappy nonsense is hitting. Pick and choose at will at those, they're all the same.

No, I'm not bitter and single, why do you ask? What a rude question.

In more exciting news (at least for me) the trailer for my film "Consumed" has hit the net running. Check it out here!

A lot coming out this week - nothing incredible looking, but just a lot of stuff.

Seeing Rambo tonight, we'll see how that goes. I have to admit, Stallone is a lot smarter sounding in interviews than I would have given him credit for.

Also hitting wide is the completely idiotic looking Untraceable. Everything about this just screams WRONG so it might be good for a larff.

In limited we have the high-concept The Air I Breathe and 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days. The latter is the film I'm most excited about for some reason. Not even John Rambo can bring me excitement like a good ol' abortion movie!

Damn! I was supposed to be catching Cloverfield tonight, but alas, it was not meant to be. Everyone in the world has heard of this so I won't go into detail, but all signs are pointing to "go see it." In any case I'm catching it tomorrow evening so I'll try and get a review up as early as I can.

Also in limited - Teeth! I'm excited about this flick finally getting a real release - I just hope it does well. Everyone involved was really nice at Sundance and the movie is great - plus Jess Weixler is awesome (and gorgeous...call me Jess!)

Another limited release is Taxi to the Dark Side, from the director of "Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room" which I really liked. Should be a hard-hitting documentary on the torture practices of the US.
