Been kind of out of it lately (started a new job), but I'll definitely be back on updates soon enough. In the meantime check out the trailer for the upcoming remake of It's Alive. Apparently Cohen didn't direct the remake himself like he was talking about, but oh well, he still worked on the script. And it has Bijou Phillips in it so who cares!

Added the new slasher Prom Night to the database. Is it worth your hard earned money? (The answer is no but go read the review anyway!)

Howdy ho Cheesykateers! Another week, another batch of movies bound to fail in the game of life. Luckily this week isn't all that bad.

Even though it looks exactly like the writer's other films, Street Kings might be pretty good. On the other hand, Prom Night is going to absolutely terrible, but I'm dumb etc etc so go see it etc etc. Not even really a fan of the original, so a PG-13 Dawson's Creek edition should just be...yeah.

The one I really want to see is Smart People, despite it having Sarah Jessica Parker in it. The previews have all been awfully vague what it's about so it might give a nice surprise and be the next feel-good hit of the yakkity-shmakkity.

Sad news today - screen legend Charlton Heston passed away Saturday at the age of 84.

Whether you liked his political affiliations or not in his waning years, he was still the man behind great films such as Soylent Green and the Omega Man, not to mention one of the greats - Planet of the Apes.

We here at Cheesy Movie Night send our condolences to the family.

HAWHAW I hope you enjoyed our little April Fool's prank. Thanks to forum regular and kung fu ninja Anger for the idea, and thanks to Wolf for making the oh so pretty pink page so quickly.

So, movies! This week we have the adaptation of the bestselling book The Ruins (still haven't read it!) and the George Clooney/John Krasinski football film Leatherheads, which actually may be funny despite itself. On the limited side, we have My Blueberry Nights.

Hopefully soon we'll actually, like, add some reviews, or something. Maybe one day...one day...

Nah, soon.

Seriously.

Promise.
