Sad news today - screen legend Charlton Heston passed away Saturday at the age of 84.

Whether you liked his political affiliations or not in his waning years, he was still the man behind great films such as Soylent Green and the Omega Man, not to mention one of the greats - Planet of the Apes.

We here at Cheesy Movie Night send our condolences to the family.

Truly a sad day for all who have seen his films. Its an amazing feat for a man to live into his 80s.

I am way too shocked. He was one of the greatest actors this world has ever know. May his soul rest in perfect peace
